We start today with a developing story concerning school board elections in the county. According to the Pinal County Democratic Party, Republicans made 11 illegal contributions to nonpartisan school board candidates. Republicans have since replied that the contributions were “inappropriate” but “an entirely inadvertent error on the part of the committee.”

Yesterday was surely a lucky day for one Casa Grande resident, as it was reported that a winning lottery ticket was purchased in the city. According to the Arizona Lottery, the winning ticket was bought at the Food Mart at the Sinclair gas station on 2012 N. Trekell Road. Finally today, we take a look at two Casa Grande Union girl's tennis players who competed at the AIA State Championship Tournament last Friday. Despite losing in their first match, seniors Hailey Mace and Alexis Castro said they care more about the friendship the two have created in their final season as Cougars.
