Good morning RJ,

For those in Maricopa, mark your calendars, because a public open house has been scheduled for the West Pinal-Maricopa Area Transportation Plan. The meeting will take place on May 18 at the Maricopa Library and Cultural Center, where participants will be able to offer their input on their priority transportation issues and feedback on the information.

At their latest board meeting, CAVIT announced that they will be expanding to add programs for welding, electric vehicle instruction and more. According to Superintendent Mike Glover, the grand total construction cost for the expansion for 2023 is $3.38 million.

Lastly, in the sports world, a Casa Grande Union graduate is returning to his hometown. After spending years coaching football at various schools at the high school and collegiate level, Louie Ramirez was named the new athletic director for Vista Grande High School. Despite now working for the crosstown rival, the former Cougar said he is excited to return home and take on a new role.
