In an effort to steady a ship jolted by the sudden departure of Pinal
County’s hired elections director, the Board of Supervisors voted
Wednesday to once again place elections under the county recorder.
A committee interested in forming a city has released a tentative map
and has scheduled three open houses to hear residents’ thoughts. Further
meetings are planned.
It was a full circle moment on Saturday morning as a handful of former
Pinal County athletes were on-hand to help out with a youth football
clinic hosted by the Casa Grande Union football team and AZ Krush youth
football organization.
