Good morning RJ,

We start today with the latest in crime news, as a 37-year-old man was shot and killed during an alleged domestic dispute that occurred in Casa Grande on Thursday morning at approximately 1 a.m. Here is what we know.

In sports, former Casa Grande Union quarterback Angel Flores is beginning to find his footing as a Lumberjack at Northern Arizona University. The former Cougar collected his first collegiate touchdown last week and has brought the same work ethic from Casa Grande to the pines of Flagstaff.

Plus, former Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez announced Monday that he’s running for Congress to represent much of Pinal County. Nez said he will challenge incumbent Eli Crane, who has represented Arizona’s redrawn 2nd Congressional District since last year.
