Good afternoon RJ,

A new barbecue restaurant in Florence is finally opening its doors soon. Your Behind Barbecue — Birds & Bones is advertising for employees and will soon be ready to take off the brown butcher paper from the front windows of its 270 N. Main St. building. Click here for more information.

Meanwhile, the annual tour of historic homes and buildings returns 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 10. In keeping with the theme, this year’s tour highlights a number of historic stops and special moments in Florence’s history, including fun facts placed along Main Street’s planter pots.

Plus, in Coolidge, Pretty Precise Step Team hopes to gain local youth dancers at the upcoming Cooling with the Culture event. There will be a meet-and-greet event from 1-4 p.m. this Sunday at the Coolidge Youth Center.
