The days of yore come to Pinal County for a limited time each year with the return of the Arizona Renaissance Festival, which officially kicked off last weekend. PinalCentral Subscribers can get all of the details on this family-friendly event with this story from the Pinal Ways Magazine.

Speaking of big events, one of the largest gourd festivals in the country returned to the Pinal Fairgrounds last weekend. The three-day event attracted an estimated 12,000 attendees and hundreds of artists and vendors. Check out these great photos from the event.

Toby Keith, a hit country crafter of pro-American anthems who both riled up critics and was loved by millions of fans, has died. He was 62. The singer-songwriter, died peacefully Monday after a long battle with stomach cancer.
